Your first visit
When you arrive, one of our friendly chiropractic assistants (CAs) will welcome you and help you through your first appointment.
- Welcome & paperwork — arrive a few minutes early; bring your health fund card and any recent scans or X-rays.
- History & examination — your chiropractor takes a thorough history and examines you.
- Discussion — findings explained in plain language; your questions answered; care recommended only if appropriate, with referral if not.
- First treatment — usually at the same visit, if clinically appropriate and you’re happy to proceed.
Allow 45–60 minutes for your first visit. Follow-up visits: about 15 minutes.
Follow-up visits
Please arrive by your scheduled time and let the chiropractic assistant know you have arrived. If you are bringing children, this is a good time to settle them into an activity in the kids corner.
Your chiropractor will discuss your progress, provide treatment and advice, and let you know if your care plan needs to change. The CA will help with any further appointments, and payment is taken at each visit. Many patients are asked to take a short walk before returning to their car.
